Krisenkompass Redesign

Case Study (2023)

This project is very near and dear to my heart—a comprehensive redesign and UX overhaul for Krisenkompass, a suicide prevention app.

Krisenkompass offers a range of functionalities to support users in crisis:

Resource Management: Users can add and access various resources tailored to help them navigate through difficult times.
Support System Integration: The app allows users to add their support network, ensuring they have quick and easy access to their trusted contacts.
Mood Tracking: Users can track their mood over time, providing valuable insights into their emotional well-being.

In my role, I undertook a complete redesign to make the app significantly more user-friendly and intuitive. Key improvements included:

Revamped Information Architecture: I restructured the app’s information architecture to ensure seamless navigation and easy access to all features.
Enhanced User Interface: The UI was redesigned with a clean, modern aesthetic, focusing on accessibility and ease of use.
User-Centered Design: By conducting user research and usability testing, I identified pain points and iteratively refined the design to better meet user needs.
Consistent Design Language: Established a consistent design language across the app to enhance user experience and foster familiarity.
Support System Features: Streamlined the process of adding and contacting support network members, making it more intuitive for users in crisis.

This comprehensive redesign has significantly enhanced the usability and overall user experience of the Krisenkompass app, making it a more effective tool for those in need.

Case Study (2023) under NDA

At aifora, a B2B platform leveraging artificial intelligence to optimize purchasing and selling decisions, I served as a UI/UX Designer for two product teams. My role encompassed the entire design process, from ideation to developer handover, for AI-driven software solutions.

During my tenure at aifora, I led the redesign of two core modules, resulting in a 20% increase in customer satisfaction. This achievement underscores my commitment to enhancing user experiences through thoughtful design.

I also introduced and established user research practices within the company. Regular usability tests, user interviews, and shadowing sessions enabled me to gather valuable insights, which I shared to drive overall product improvements.

Case Study (2023)

Because I cannot showcase the work I did at Aifora due to confidentiality, I am excited to demonstrate my skills through another project: a dashboard for marketing professionals.

Project Overview:

Role: Conceptualization, UI Design, and Logo Design
Duration: 6 hours
Goal: Create a social media analytics dashboard tailored for a busy social media manager who needs quick access to critical information.

Key Focus: The primary objective was to design a dashboard where KPIs stand out prominently, enabling the social media manager to quickly and efficiently grasp important metrics. This design prioritizes clarity and usability, ensuring that all essential information is accessible at a glance, ultimately saving the user time and effort.

Freelance 3D Printing Expert Website

Case Study (2022)

Discover my comprehensive work on a website designed for a freelance 3D printing expert, targeting engineering professionals eager to learn about 3D printing and seeking a consultant in the field. This project involved a full spectrum of UX design activities, including:

User Research: Conducted in-depth interviews and surveys with potential users to understand their needs, pain points, and goals.
Persona Development: Created detailed personas to guide design decisions, ensuring the site met the specific needs of engineering professionals.
Information Architecture: Structured the website’s content to provide intuitive navigation and easy access to information about consulting and teaching services.
Wireframing and Prototyping: Developed low-fidelity and high-fidelity wireframes and prototypes to visualize the layout and functionality of the site.

The result is a user-friendly website that effectively showcases the 3D printing consultant's expertise, making it easy for engineering professionals to find the information they need and connect with the consultant for their projects.

Timesheet App for an Independent Art Store

Case Study (2021)

As part of the Google UX Design Certificate, I embarked on an end-to-end design journey to create a specialized timesheet app for an independent art store. This project allowed me to apply a comprehensive UX design process, leveraging various methodologies and best practices.

From conducting user research and creating personas to wireframing, prototyping, and conducting usability testing, I meticulously designed every aspect of the app's user experience. The app aims to streamline time tracking for artists and store personnel, enhancing efficiency and operational management.

The Google UX Design Certificate program emphasized user-centered design, iterative processes, and thorough user testing. By following these principles, I was able to ensure the app not only met the functional requirements but also provided an intuitive and enjoyable user experience.
